A signed contract must be submitted. Prior to ATCO Gas processing the contract, specific documents are required along with prepayment for the estimated costs. Please contact the nearest ATCO Gas office to discuss further.
Contract for Service Line Form
Only after a satisfactory site inspection will ATCO Gas schedule the construction specified in this contract. The following installation timeframes are in effect from the date of a satisfactory ATCO Gas site inspection and when main extensions and third-party approvals are not required.
Urban primary installations: residential and light commercial
Frost-free conditions 15 working days
Frozen ground conditions 20 working days
Rural primary installations: residential and light commercial
Frost-free conditions 20 working days
Frozen ground conditions 25 working days
ATCO Gas requires advance notice of your installation request for a farm or acreage in order to obtain the necessary utility right-of-way agreements, permits and to install your service. The application deadline for rural natural gas installation under summer rates is July 31 for main extension service, and September 30 for single service every year. The site must be ready for the gas installation.
Apply early to ensure installation before freeze-up.
