Safety Document Description
To restore natural gas service to your home after a service disruption, you may need to reset your regulator. The regulator is found next to your natural gas meter. This video will help you identify the type of regulator you have, and the safe way to reset your regulator.


There are two types of regulators:
1) a sealed regulator will reset automatically, and does not require manual resetting.
2) an unsealed regulator must be reset manually.

You may need to relight your natural gas furnace or water heater after a service disruption.

It is important to note the type of gas appliance that you have, and the current settings on your equipment.

Note: please ensure your regulator is properly reset before attempting to relight your appliances.
