ATCO Gas collects meter readings and uses this measurement information to calculate how much natural gas has been used each charge period. Our company passes this information to your retailer, along with our delivery charges and your retailer passes these costs on to you.

ATCO Gas is regulated by the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC). This means that ATCO Gas applies to the AUC for our revenue, based on the cost of providing safe, reliable natural gas delivery service.
The AUC then reviews our application and approves the revenue that ATCO Gas collects from its customers to cover the approved costs of providing service to its customers.
This application cycle ensures that our rates are fair and that customer's are receiving value from their natural gas utility.
