ATCO I-Tek Earns Prestigious North American Award for Third Consecutive Year

November 18, 2008 EDMONTON, Alberta - For the third year in a row ATCO I-Tek's call centre has received one of North America's top awards for customer service. The award was presented to the call centre by the independent research company, Service Quality Measurement Group Inc. (SQM).

ATCO Gas Reports Unplanned Natural Gas Outage for 22 Sifton Boulevard Customers in Calgary

June 30, 2008 CALGARY, Alberta - Natural gas service to 22 Calgary customers on SIfton Boulevard immediately west of Elbow Drive was disrupted this evening when a leak was reported on a 219 mm intermediate pressure distribution pipeline crossing the river.

 

ATCO Gas Participates in New Calgary Subdivision Using Renewable Energy

June 19, 2008 CALGARY, Alberta - ATCO Gas has partnered with Avalon Master Builder and Ener-West Geo-Energy Service Inc. to install renewable energy technology in 40 homes. Located in Carma Developers' McKenzie Towne in South East Calgary, the homes, built by Avalon, will have all of their space heating and cooling requirements - and a portion of their hot water needs - supplied by geothermal and solar technology. The project was officially launched today at a "Green-Breaking" ceremony at the building site.

February 20, 2008 CALGARY, Alberta - Record earnings of $250.8 million ($4.31 per share) for the year ended December 31, 2007, compared to earnings of $207.0 million ($3.48 per share) for the year ended December 31, 2006 were reported today by ATCO Ltd.

February 20, 2008 CALGARY, Alberta - Record earning of $386.7 million ($3.08 per share) for the year ended December 31, 2007, compared to earnings of $323.9 million ($2.57) for the year ended December 31, 2006 were reported today by Canadian Utilities.

 

ATCO Gas Marks Major Milestone: One Million Customers

February 6, 2008 EDMONTON, Alberta - After nearly a century providing safe, reliable natural gas service to Albertans, ATCO Gas announced today that it is now serving more than one million customers. This historic milestone comes on the heels of one of the busiest years on record for ATCO Gas, as nearly 32,000 Alberta homes and businesses became new ATCO Gas customers in 2007.
